Good news today. I still have a job!!

We found out a few months ago that my company will be closing as of July 31. Somehow I have ended up with a job working for our parent company remotely out of my home. So I am feeling very lucky today. Not to often does your company close and you get to keep your job, get a raise, and work out...

    Wii Fit

Anybody else have one of these? I got one last night and this thing is pretty fun. My legs hurt today, but I think it might actually help me loose weight. The wife and I spent about two hours getting everything set up and playing last night.

    Made it through the blizzard

Well, I made it through the blizzard we just had. 13" of snow with 35-40 mph sustained winds. Got out of work for a couple days and spent most of it behind my snowblower. Here are a couple pictures of everything. The first one is a picture of the ramp in front of my house after everything was...

    New software at work.

Not sure if anybody else here has ever used a program called Fourth Shift, but we are dumping it in favor of a new software called Vantage. I am so excited about getting rid of the 1980's functionality of Fourth Shift that I had to post something about it. Rant over. Thanks

    Rod Building

Does anybody do any rod building? I just ordered some manuals and books on how to do this. It looks really cool and hopefully I will be able to get good at it. Maybe one day I can start my own business selling custom rods. I'm looking forward to getting started.

I'm thinking of going into law enforcement. Advice?

I am thinking about getting out of my office job and going into law enforcement. My city has a test coming up to qualify for the interview process with no prior law training and it seems like a great opportunity. I have thought about law enforcement in the past, but have never done it. Any...

    Man it's cold

We hit 23 below last night without the wind chill. With the wind, it ended up being -40. Take that with 10" of snow and things get a little difficult. Is everybody else having crazy weather too, or is it just me?

    Firefox 3

I just downloaded the Firefox 3 browser and it is awesome. In the past i have used IE 7 and recently Google Chrome, but this has got to be the best browser ever. Fast, secure, and easy to use. My three favorite things online. If you haven't tried it yet, I would highly recommend Firefox 3...

    Got one

I got my first deer of the year this weekend. Walking through some willow brush in an ice storm he stuck his head up and i got him at about 50 yards. He had about a 1/2 inch spike, but counted as a doe, so hopefully i'll get a buck this weekend. Sorry no pics, wasn't anything to impressive :D ...

    Krylon Fusion Plastic Paint

This stuff works great. I repainted the plastics on my 3 wheeler and they turned out good. I roughed up the plastic with 180 grit sandpaper and then smoothed it out with 600 grit, wiped everything down with alcohol and then sprayed about 7 or 8 real light coats on the plastics. Paint is a...
