Thanks Pepper, here are a few of the carpet installed. The stuff is really thick and some of the compartments are tight. Shouldn't be long before it is on the water.

    Switch Panel Help!!!

Can any of you help me wire this panel. The directions say wire the positive wires of the switches together with a wire that runs to the battery. Ok, simple enough. However, if I do this, where do I wire the positive from my device? It is killing me trying to figure it out. I feel like an idiot...

I'm not worried at all about the stern being heavy. The boat sits high in the water, I am actually hoping it will sit lower and more even with all the extra weight. I am moving the console forward so that will even the weight out more. I am only putting the cranking battery in the back and I...

Yeah I did get a pretty good deal on her Tinboatlover. I checked out your build. You are moving right along. It will be sweet when you get all that aluminum on it. Those are some pretty good deals on the livewells. I was originally going to go the bought livewell route, but I figured a cooler...

foam in the bottom of the boat

It only helps if the boat is swamped. Doesn't provide any flotation when there is no water in the boat, but it is worth it's weight in gold if something goes wrong and it keeps the boat from sinking.

Thanks for the good comments. I think the red and white looks sharp as well. As for the truck, I wanted to make sure I was never going to run out of power  I am framing a bench out of the aluminum tubing and plywood that the seats will attach to. It will run all of the way across the...

The bottom and sides are done. It turned out pretty good. Here is a pic of the trailer. It was a pain to cut all of the rusted and seized up U-bolts off. It got all new U-bolts, leaf springs, bunks, and lights.

Here is the motor on the stand. Seems to be holding it up pretty well. Boat is off the trailer and primed. My beautiful wife is doing the priming and the painting. She is a keeper. The boat is ready for the third coat. The strip down the side will be white.

    Contest Banner for Troling Motor

No problem for the tip. I have actually never heard of it being a state law. It is mostly used in tournaments to tell other boaters who is in the tournament. Most tournaments have a rule that say you cannot fish within a certain distance of anybody else in the tournament.

    Contest Banner for Troling Motor

Most just use orange ribbon. Comes in a roll like caution tape. Tear each member off about 2 ft piece and tie it to the trolling motor.

Here is the boat layout that I am planning. Thanks to my architect wife. I fish B.A.S.S. tournaments as a non-boater so I wanted storage space for my tackle bags, which are very large. Hopefully everything goes as planned. The rod locker is very large. Should be able to fit around 10 rod and...
