Does anyone know the thickness of Nautolex? I am restoring an '88 Lund Tyee and plan on using nautolex on the deck. I am cutting and fitting all of the wood prior to ordering, and was wondering how much of a gap I should leave.
Thanks,
Brian
It is finally finished and I have taken it out a few times. I will most likely post this for sale soon so I can work on another boat project (Lund Tyee). Here are some more pics
Dont mind the rod holders, I only put one screw in until I was sure where I wanted them.
I paid $2000 for an 88 bass tracker in worse condition. Check all that was mentioned, as well as for cracks in the hull. Mine had several along each side around where the console is. Here are pics of mine when I was tearing it apart.

I just noticed I posted this in the Conversions and Modifications section. Could a mod/admin please move this to the appropriate section? I noticed it was in the wrong place when I went to the Boat House section looking for my post.
Thanks
Brian
I am restoring an '88 Lund Tyee 5.5 (18') and need to put in a new floor. It also appears as if the foam is saturated. The plan is to put in a new floor, epoxy it, and wrap with nautolex. I am going to wrap it in sections to that it is removable. Does anyone have recommendations on...
The motor is an '88 35hp Merc. Before the tear down it would go 22-25mph depending on gear and # of people. The decals as far as I know are all original. They were really cracked, but toward the rear they were somewhat beat up, probably from bumping a dock or something
Here are some pictures of what I found when I tore everything down. The flotation was a mix of plastic bottles and foam. I don't think the foam could hold anymore water. There was a mix metal tape, fiberglass and a maybe resin (?) used (inside and out) to repair some stress cracks (TIG welded...
Here are some pics of the boat project I am currently working on. I fished out of it for a year and half and finally decided to fix it up. The stickers were peeling, the carpet was shot and coming up, the wood was horribly cut, the seats were coming apart at the seams and the wiring looked like...
Can anyone tell me what is up with this transom brace(if that's what it is)? Is there supposed to be something that actually connects to the transom (wood?)? Also, can anyone possibly tell me what the manufacturer may be? I know it's a long shot without a picture of the whole boat, but it is...
Looks great! I have an 88 bass tracker and planned on doing the same exact thing. I am hoping to get rid of all carpet and wood and use aluminum then cover it all with nautoflex. How easy was it to lay down? Does it fold over the corners easy? Do you know if this is the same stuff that war...
Thanks for the bump. I cleaned up the connections some more and that seems to have worked. The Flasher fires right up and the aerator turns on and off when in Auto. I really need to go back through and get a new fuse panel and redo the switch wiring.
