Pull Cord Replacement - Steel Core?

Am working on replacing my 1956 evinrude pull cord and am pretty sure the one that finally gave out was original. It has a steel wire core and some old school clamped metal hook piece on the end... Doubt they make those any more, so am looking for insight on a replacement. Can I just tie a...

Snapped my pull rope - 1956 Evinrude 7.5

Long time no talk all... I snapped the pull rope on my outboard. 1956 Evinrude 7.5hp. I youtubed and could not find this exact make and model, but did find similar vides where they show the rope coil... That you have to counter clockwise turn it 14 times, and re-coil the rope while keeping...

1955 Evinrude 7.5 Fleetwin - busted pull cord

Hey all, been a long time. So got the boat out for the first time yesterday with my boy. Had her start after a few pulls after a year in the garage. Long story short, was ready to hit a new spot and noticed some fraying in the pull cord right below the handle, and that it was getting caught...

So I took my rig out yesterday, and of course with the cold weather she took a few pulls to get started.. no biggie. She run me and my buddy up river with no problems. We fished for a while... 2nd run back up river I noticed she was starting to feel sluggish... thought I was caught on weed...

What distance do you zero in at?

So does that mean you zero in at 200yds, and when shooting at 100yds, you found the rounds to be 2" above center" Or do you just shoot 2" above center at 100yds?

What distance do you zero in at?

Agreed... meat here as well. I also figured if I cant get to within 200 yds of an animal... I should not be "hunting".. I think that is part of the excitement. Getting close enough to not be detected. Maybe that is just the fictitious Navy Seal in me.

    Waterfowl hunting

Never tried it. Would like too. I know a couple guys here in town who get pretty down with it. Hand made blinds and such.

What distance do you zero in at?

So last year, I zeroed in at 100yds, and can put rounds pretty tight at 200yds. But rely on the BDC reticle to account for distance. The Buck and Bull I took last year were both approx. 150yds. Both shooting uphill, which was challenging for me. Am wondering if I need to zero in at 200 yds...

    carpet question..

If you have a little extra carpet and wood, try a few demo cuts... I did this trying to get the inside of my hatch to fit right. From my eye... I see you may want to try a "Y" cut. Again, just go a bit short of right to the wood... then pull the center flap toward the inner "bottom" of the...

Retro 51 Pen - Executive Style

Sorry if this was a "boating" only selling forum... it said anything "legal". So if I can't sell my boat gimp, I have this pen I got a while back. I am not a pen collector, but if anyone is, its pretty cool. Kind of a maroon/purple/pinkish marble with gold metal work. *Not real gold. Wooden...

LISTEN TO THESE GUYS DON'T USE JB WELD!!!!!

I recently used JB Weld to fill some holes the previous owner created when screwing the rear transom plywood to the boat. Most were above the waterline, I think maybe 2 or 3 were just at the waterline. I will report any findings should anything appear busted!

    Little piece of Idaho heaven

Truly 30 minutes middle of nowhere. I think that is why I have come to just thoroughly enjoy hunting so much. A couple hour drive, and you are really in the deep "no where" zone. 10k ft peaks, trails everywhere, and just nothing. I hate to admit I just started hunting at age 35, but I think...
