    14' V-Hull Modifications

Looks like you have good ideas. To help you with drilling the pieces of aluminum together, use visegrips to clamp them together then drill and rivet together. That will help a lot. Lowes sells a Hitachi miter saw for about 100 bucks that would be a very good investment for this project. i also...

    2012 Alumacraft 1648 NCS

Very nice build looks great. The only thing I see wrong is that you riveted the aluminum to the wood when you attached your frame to the boat. I don't think it will hold long. You might want to drill out those rivets and put stainless screws in. Just my thoughts, otherwise you did a fantastic job.

Finally had a little time to work on boat. I don't know yet about what I'm doing about the steering issue, but I got a coat of fiberglass resin put on all the wood I added. I order a set of Beavertail pods for the back. Should be here next week. I got some 2 x 2 x 3/16 aluminum and some more...

    Just a thought?....butchers block

Don't think I would use butcher block, to many joints to fail if not glued with waterproof glue.

Thought about that but don't know if want to sit without my feet under me. Already have the setup for a high low seat. I'll have to think some more about this.

I need some help to figure out what to do about my steering problem. When I raise my rear seat the tiller handle is to short. Thought about adding extension but it will hit seat or will be unreachable when turning. I don't really want stick steering unless I can do it with a joystick. Thinking...

The livewell was already in the center seat which I cut out. The (poll) is support for center seat which will be mounted to the wood behind it. Gonna put more frame and support in front, but haven't decided where yet.
