Thats what I have to work with, owned it since 85( bought new), not used since 95. its a 1236 wide. Get it to fish first, (after paint) short season up here, just got a foot today (snow) then a transformation in the garage over the fall/ winter, learn, then probably sell for a larger one...Thats the plan anyhow, electric only with that.

That's gonna make a good jon - is it heavy gauged aluminum? I forgot to ask you that in my email. My 1236 was and that's part of the reason it was so stable.

I've seen guys do the same thing in light gauged aluminum, and they didn't have any problems either, but it just wasn't quite as stable.

Yes heavy gauge, solid, never been abuse, just used as a row boat in the NYS watershed, biggest brown trout out of it 13.5lbs, on 4lbs, was a long row back....Where did you get that front support bar Russ? the carpeted one, is it home made, the bracket is real nice.
