Well I got a couple pieces glued together, and as we speak they are curing (hopefully). I also got the main floor cut. I still need to seal, and get the hole in for the seat base. I will also picked up some foam tonight to add under the livewell area where it was water-logged. I'm also working on some miscellaneous plumbing, installing new water lines for livewell and bilge as the old ones had cracked.

I am considering raising the front deck approximately 3 inches. This would allow me to move a couple batteries toward the front for the TM, but I'm still not sure about that.

Got a little more done, slowly but surely......

I got the transom cut out and a couple coats of urethane on it, as well as coating the main floor.

I also have decided to raise the front deck 3" with some aluminum tubing. I will add a couple hatches for a couple batterys for the TM. I will then add a starting battery to the back for the motor, and to run the bilge, lights, livewell etc....

I've got my aluminum bracing cut, and welded, now I just need to attach it.

Guys have a question on bolts (or machine screws)....... When I go to bolt my transom back together, do I need a bolt that has a rubber washer, or can I just use a small (like a #10) pan head with some 3m 5200 on it? I seem to have have trouble finding a stainless bolt that is 2" long with a rubber washer that isn't real pricey.

Or any other ideas?
I attached a pic showing the bolts I'm talking about.

Thanks again for all the info.

I'm just going to use fender washers and some 5200 to seal the bolts up....I would suspect that the rubber washers would work but I have used the 5200 on many boats....it will seal your bolts just fine.

If you plan on removing the bolts in the future you could use 4200 It will release without a solvent.
