I have about 40' of stranded 6 ga. wire that I used for a new range in a kitchen remodel. Would this be o.k. to use for my trolling motors when I rewire the boat? Is there such a thing as marine grade wire that I must use?

You should use tinned wire, but if you keep any eye out for corrosion, you should be fine.

I agree with this.If it's standard solid core house wire don't use it.It can't carry the amperage. If it's multi stranded wire you should be fine.
