I found a 9.9 horse evinrude on craigslist. The guy said he's not sure of exact year just early 70s. Said he just had it to a reputable boat shop, and they checked it out. Said he put about 200 bucks in it, but hasnt said what he had done, other than oil change and tune up. Said the prop was a 9.5 on a scale from 1-10. It doesnt come with a fuel tank so I will have to buy that too. Will I also have to buy fittings or something?? The only gas motor I've ever had was a 2.5 Merc, and it has the built in tank. The guy is asking 450 for it. What do you guys think, cause I have no idea what these things go for other than what people are asking for them on CL. Others I have seen are about double this price. What should I look for when I go to check it out?? He said he has a tank so we can fire it up and see it running. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!
