798c SI or 898C SI as console companion for 898c DI at bow?

Imo si should be ran from the stern, you can always link them, di is fine at the t motor if your dropshotting soley imo, 2d is more than effective for ds.

That's the plan, SI at the console with a stern transducer and DI at the bow with a TM transducer.
