Thursday, work was called off due to weather.Nothing else to do but go fishing, the wife was off to her daughters for the day/night,so I went alone.
I ventured to a small lake in mid-MO that I've never been to before, called LittleDixie.A nice lake of 205acres,deepest around 25ft,but mostly under 15ft. Boats with motors over 10hp-no wake speed. My favorite type,as you don't burn up all your battery power getting around, but your not getting rocked by huge wakes all day.
Arrived around 2pm and fished until around 8.There is a slotlimit 12-15in.All bass within the slot must be released.Caught 5 total with 2 being in the slot. Not bad for the first time there.
Here are some pics.

That is a very interesting looking presentation.. I think during the offseason I will look into giving them a shot.. what kind of presentations are they used for? (sorry for hijacking the thread by the way)

Don't worry about hijacking. It's my pleasure.I usually Texas-rig them with a 3/16or1/4oz weight. They can br rigged any way a regular worm can be.The only difference is that you want to have the tail either horizontal or vertical.I present them by either dragging them or hopping them along the bottom.I have also caught while swimming them.Posibilities are endless.

Nice looking fish,some real fatties.
How are the lakes governed,hp wise?
A resoirvoir makes since, but is it acreage, depth or population/useage that has a factor...probably alittle of all.

Zum,
I believe it is acreage alone. And it is only on Dept.of Conservation lakes.Private lakes not under MDC control make their own rules.
I believe that under 500ac is over 10hp no wake speed,under 80 or 100ac it is electric-only.

Caught these 4 yesterday. Not the size of Thurs.,but fish nonetheless.

Headed back out to LittleDixie as soon as my buddy Porky gets here. This will probably be the last trip of the year.We are having unseasonably warm weather this weekend and I have to take advantage of it.Temps supposed to get near 70 today. It has to break here soon, then we will pay for all these nice days we have been having.
