Hello,

Finally got to fish at the Baby Orange Lake, a more personal kind of lake, perfect for my kind of boat...

It felt nice to be out in the sun after so many rainy days, but it has that northern feel too it, sunny but winter cool...

Today I got the wife and son with me and we all had a good time going around the lake powered by Gasoline...

The little motor ran excellent as far a carburetor issues goes, but I was quite disappointing with its performance.

I don't know if it is because it needs to be fine tune more or it just is a weak motor, but it did not move as fast as I wished.

And as always, here are the pictures from this adventure mostly taken with a Nikon 5700 and some with a Canon 590 IS.

Enjoy...

First of all.........congrats on taking out the family for a fishing trip i'm sure you all will remember and second of all those are awesome pictures. You should take it up as an occupation!! :pSeriously, they are that good man!! =D>

Nice pics, sorry to hear your motor wasnt living up to your expectations. Hope you managed to catch a fish or two.

nice pics glad you got out.did you see the culvert pipe that goes under the road did it have enough water to go through if it did you can go through it and they is another small lake there and if you looked there was a canal on little orange not far from the house with the dock if you go through that canal it is just a little ways it opens up to a bigger lake

Thank you all for the nice comments...

Yes it was a beautiful day, we had lunch on the boat and also moments of frustration...

A little bit of everything... I forgot to put the plug in the boat and launched open until my son kindly advised, "Daddy, there is water inside the boat..." Then I get out of the car in a hurry slip on the lime ramp and hurt my hip area on the right side..." All in the name of fun!

As far the canal that connects the two lakes, I think that has all been covered by the lilies, I went around the lake two times looking for the canal and could not find any way out...

But as far a fishing goes, I love that little lake, is small, personal and beautiful. Lots of birds!

As far as photography, I love it, I wish I had the time and dedication to make something out of it, so far it has just been a hubby... I love the mechanics of it, but I still have to work on the artistic eye

=D> Glad to hear you got the family to go out with you(nice looking family my friend) =D> , I think the 5 horse was probably a little over matched with two adults and a child, its still a good way to get from point A to point B.

Someone pointed out to my wife today that we did not even made it to Little Orange Lake...

We were on a smaller lake called " TOWNS LAKE " off 301...

The good news is that's just another fishing outing on the agenda

Below is the Map, I think next time we are definitely finding it... One can only hope!

LOL...looks like you still had a nice time.
That little Orange lake looks pretty big, compared to the one you fished.
Have another great time when you get there.

turn there at holdens park rd there is a dock there that is the lake i was telling you about if you look you will see the canal to the left to go into orange and there is a culvert on the right to go into another small pond if the water is high enough .sorry about that i thought you was at the right place
