How do you keep your battery from vibrations while traveling? My boat and trailer might weigh 800lbs. total and bounces with every bump in the road.Securing the battery doesn't seem like enough, maybe some thing to provide some cushion.Any Idea's?

My old boat and trailer weighed about the same as yours. Adjusting the pressure in those tires will make a big difference in how well that trailer / boat/ battery rides back there. I used to run my 4x12 tires at about 20 psi and it worked out well.

Does the trailer have leaf springs? What size trailer tires? A trailer should be matched to the weight it is intended to carry. I agree with less air pressure in the tires. But that might lead to tire failure.

My batteries are all in battery trays that are secured to the floor. Then there is a strap with a buckle that holds each of them down. I like batteries at the back of the boat because there is less bounce than the front when on the water.

Post a picture of the set up.

Post some pics of that trailer, never seen one with shocks before.

x2. AGM batteries ARE more expensive, but they don't care about vibration and or bouncing around nearly as much as flooded batteries do. Wonder how Lithium batteries work in that sense? Guys with dragsters are putting them in. Light and powerful. The ones I'm thinking of are around $1000 (ouch!).
