I saw this while going through Wal-Mart today and I was wondering if I could use it to seal all of the wood in my boat? It is called Seal Krete Epoxy-Seal Concrete and Garage floor paint. Here is where you can view it at on Wal-Mart's web site.

It says for concrete but I thought if it will seal concrete the is no reason that it shouldn't seal wood. Right? I Just want to see what yawl think is it a good idea to use this or will it be a waste of my money and time.

You are probably better off using spar varnish. The paint you are looking at is water based and isn't really epoxy. I think it would work but wouldn't be as good as real epoxy or spar IMO.

+1 on the spar varnish, or if you're feeling adventurous mix up some fiberglass resin and just lay resin over the wood and let it sit. I plan on doing this with my transom.

Thanks for the advice. I will go with the spar varnish instead. I started reading the reviews for this product and people say it's even a poor product for it's intended use. Thanks again for the advice.

i've done this and it is not a good idea. it doesn't hold up well (yellows in the sun and cracks off). if you want to go this route, use epoxy, not polyester (fiberglass) resin.
