I don't think this guy fishes much but nice little boat.
Crazy what he does around the 2:30 mark;then he starts running shallow stuff around 4:30.

Wild - I understand that little individual jet boats like this were hot for a short time as the fore runner of the jet ski.

Saw my first sprint boat race today.
Now I need to get one or modify my 14' tin?

Design question, realizing the size of the boat why would he not center the seating/steering position for better weight distribution??

Yeah, that's an awesome little boat, I've seen this video before. THAT would be the boat I would need if I wanted to run the PeeDee river from the fall line at Cheraw to the Blewitt Falls dam at Rockingham. Something lightweight, small, and with a beefy enough hull that it will be forgiving of a collision with an underwater rock, unlike my .100" hull.

As for design questions, here's one. Why is it that a majority of folks who build these jet johns have never heard of something called an "engine cowling"? :?:

Not only are they handy for keeping the rain, water splash, and the elements off your expensive engine, but if properly designed and insulated for sound, they also eliminate the need for a set of flight deck earmuffs to operate the **** thing!

If I had to guess, I'd say offset design allows for passenger seating (allwayz nice to have help to push :)

PSG, Haven't ya ever been so excited to run something, you didn't wanna wait until it finished? LOL Heck, I ran my first "successful" botm design for months before I finished the rest of the boat. I was having too much driving it, to work on it!
