Yeah, that's an awesome little boat, I've seen this video before. THAT would be the boat I would need if I wanted to run the PeeDee river from the fall line at Cheraw to the Blewitt Falls dam at Rockingham. Something lightweight, small, and with a beefy enough hull that it will be forgiving of a collision with an underwater rock, unlike my .100" hull.
As for design questions, here's one. Why is it that a majority of folks who build these jet johns have never heard of something called an "engine cowling"? :?:
Not only are they handy for keeping the rain, water splash, and the elements off your expensive engine, but if properly designed and insulated for sound, they also eliminate the need for a set of flight deck earmuffs to operate the **** thing!
