I will start a build thread once I figure out how to post pictures and when it stops raining long enough to take some. but in the mean time I have a 1950 16x54 jon boat after removing the old plywood floor I found 3 cracked ribs in the center of the boat. they are cracked from a rivet up to the top of the rib but none of them cross the entire rib. is this something that a piece of eighth im flat bar riveted across the rib would fix. like a splint. or should it be done with a welder or even brazed? I plan to put a floor back down with foam and diamond plate so I don't want to be going back under there for awhile if I don't have to.

The ribs are a structural member of the hull. Have them MIG or TIG welded.
