cuda 168 ?

ive taken the boat out several times and the fishfinder worked perfect. however lately when ive taken it out it will say the depth is 30 ft when im only in 4ft or less of water. last Sat i took it out and it was working good, then it would start shutting off for no reason checked the power lines and everything was ok bout 20 mins later the only thing that would show up on the screen would b the depth and thats all. transducer is on the transom. could it b possible that the transducer has gone bad or the lcd display?

Could be a bad connection to the transducer - check the cables

Also, is the battery you are using fully charged - they act funny when the volts drop

thanks i will do that. i took it in for the carb to be rebuilt and waiting to get it out by next fri. the battery was fully charged so i will check the cables when i get it back. thanks for the reply.
