First trip this year:
With joy I report Fairfield Lake State Park has caught some water and is looking much better. Launching at the North ramp should be Ok for most but stay in the middle in order to keep the trailer level.. Janice and I fished Monday evening from 8-10 PM. Boated nine reds, had two break off, and two came unbuttoned. Cut shad was the ticket, outfished live bait about 2-1. Largest fish went 27.5 inches, three just under 20. Not a fast bite outing only one double but somewhat steady.
