How we doin fellas? Sorry it's been a while I've been busy with school and playin ball.

Alright, my question is about my jon boat. I want to put the batteries in the front of the boat and run my TM in the back to balance out some of the weight i just want to run wire from the front to the back and I'm not sure what guage to use or what works best. My boat is a 1432.

Just let me know.

Thanks guys

8 gauge wire should be fine for running the trolling motor that is what comes from the factory on a new triton tin boat

I just got two cables made up through https://shop.genuinedealz.com/. I went with 4AWG wire, which is really heavy. I got them made to 15' lengths with the ends installed and ready to connect. The cost was $51.92 with free shipping.
I will be running everything off these cables and still will not need to worry about any overloading. They are a heavy cable and I feel they were well worth the money. Smaaler gauge would be cheaper but I had decided to I wanted either 6AWG or 4AWG and settled for the heavier. The smaller the cable the more power loss you get over a given length.

What size is your trolling motor? Minn Kota reccommendes 6 Guage wire but depending on the power draw use there chart to figure out what size you need .

Why not just buy an inexpensive set of battery cables? They should work well and prob. be cheaper than buying two long wires--if you can find them.
