Just got a call from the repair shop. Took my 1955 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 in and got the call.
Did a minor tune up, cleaned it up and said it runs like a watch.
They were actually surprised how good it ran.
Said to take it out and run it hard a few times to make sure the water pump stands the test... especially at idle.
Said he could almost count the rpms at idle it ran so slow and smooth.
Said also to consider budgeting for points and coils but not necessary now. Taking budget into consideration.
I am stoked... I was expecting a loss on this motor and now I can plan for a good summer with the kids!
