Guys do you think this boat is new enough for a HIN to be on it? Theres one on craigslist that is a '55

Very doubtful that a boat that old has a HIN.Have you tried filing paper work to get it in your name?You may have to have a notorized bill of sale from the last registered owner.I am going thru getting another HIN after mine weathered away from sitting on the bank of a pond for 3 years.

I am calling today to get the ball rolling on paperwork. I did find last night a 4 digit code that has been stamped on the boat

Oh yeah it does have an HIN its a 4 digit code. Its stamped on the starboard side approx 4' from tansom

I may be wrong, but I think 1972 or 1973 was the first of the HIN.
