Humminbird PiranhaMAX 170 Help

I just bought this this new fishfinder. I need to put the transducer onto the transom but i am not sure of the best way. I have a 12' aluminum seaking . please help guys with your suggestions.

What i did with my 170, i cut out a wood square that is about the same size of the transducer mounting bracket and screwed it into the wood. then i roughed up the part of the transom with sand paper and used jb water weld. I didnt want to put any holes into to it if i didnt need too. It works pretty good just have to remember to flip the trnasducer up when trailering the boat.
