Ice Out Fishing

The ice has only been out about a week or so but my buddy had the itch. We took his boat out yesterday for a few hours. We managed a couple of dozen crappies and perch and kept a few for a meal. After this winter it felt great to be out on the water.

I hear ya! Hungry fish eager for a meal. I particularly enjoy kicking a float tube right at the edge of the ice, even before you can get a tin in the water.
