Got home early from the zoo with the wife and the kids so decided it was a nice day to hit my favorite little gill lake. Wanted some for the freezer and to try to get a better one for the panfish contest on here and it was only 9" anyway:
Luckily I brought some of the JDbaits 5" stick baits I got from Denny in junebug and redshad and it was on. Just about every cast for the next hour and 45 minutes I caught one. Think I caught over 30 bass from 12-15 inches. Boy was it a blast. I didn't bring any huge ones in (I hooked into a pretty good one, but he jumped and got off when I was trying to horse it around a log) but considering I only have about 100 feet of shore access at this lake I was ecstatic with the action. If anybody wonders how well the JD baits hold up this was a true test. All were rigged wacky style and I used 2 of each color for 30+ fish (I don't use an O ring like some so they held up great!) Denny said he loves to see pics with JD baits so I tried to get some.... enjoy :
