Ky. drought drying up ponds, killing fish

Is there no relief in site? That so sucks.

We are down 9.5 inches of rain currently. Every rain storm expected to come threw just takes a turn around us.

pbw - it will be raining there this week! I remember from my time served in Louisville that it woudl rain like crazy in the fall - for days at a time.

Supposed to rain here in western Ky tomorrow (maybe start tonight), but I'll believe it when I see it. Been pretty dang dry here this season.

Our average, in 30 years, is to have 35.8 inches, by the end of august.
As of August this year, we had 20.7. We have gotten less than 3 inches since then, and the average amount in Sept. 1st to Oct. 15th is about 4.5 inches.
Thereby, right now, we should have 40 inches, and have less than 25 inches. And, it doesn't help that Alabama is stealing our water.

Wed Night we got one inch of rain according to my rain gauge.
Last night we got 1/4 inch.

Okay since monday we've gotten 10 inches of rain. I cleaned the rain gauge last night now it read 4 inches. :shock:

Still raining here! . Supposed to start slacking-off tomorow, but still have intermittent showers the rest of the week, and clear this weekend.
