Mercery CC replacement remote control

I need/want a right hand control for CC. I have seen them for sale on E-bay and around. It is set up different than the SC remote controls. It looks like the CC "thing" is only Electronic. Has anyone swapped a SC to a CC remote? Is it a pretty straight forward swap?

You specifically want a 'binnacle' or top-mounted control Jon. Search eBay for terms of 'mercury binnacle control', as there's a used one for $100 and a new one for $195.

I've been looking myself. Dale makes a good point. Check out Ebay, Craigslist, etc.. I haven't seen anything that will alllow you to use a side mount style for a binnacle application. The biggest drawback is that the side mount style incorporates a ignition switch. The binnacle styles I've looked at don't.
