Minn Kota Endura Max Speed

Curious if anyone knows if the Endura Max lowest speed is slower than a 5 speed trolling motors 1st speed. The 5 speed Minn Kota trolling motor I have (45 Lb. thrust) on my 14 ft. jon boat is just a little to fast in 1st speed for my liking and wondering if the variable speed is slower in 1st speed.

I have a 55lb and would say at low speed it mite be turning 50 rpm, ,,, very controllable and sips the battery juice ,,,, just replaced with MK POWERDRIVE V2 of the same size ,, the endura turns slower then its slowest speed
