A 10 amp charge is actually better for extending the life of the battery than a 2 amp trickle charge, for whatever that is worth.

I agree, I heard great things about Guest chargers.
I have an onboard Minn Kota MK220 - 30amp charger. 15amps by 2 banks. That takes care of my trolling motor batteries. Would those work with a cranking battery?
