I just got my boat back from Dawson at FishOn Fabrications and it looks great. Dawson does great work. I'm in Northern, VA and could'nt find anyone around here to do what I wanted so with research found Dawson down in GA. I was going to do the work myself but decided against it because I wanted a factory look and knew I didn't have the equipment to do it properly. Now my Grizzly looks like it came from Tracker this way. Well it will once I spray the tuff coat on it.

Thanks Dawson!

Well I sprayed the inside of my boat with Tuff Coat. It turned out good other than the color. Not really happy with what Tuff Coat calls Olive. I guess there correct it's the color of a Olive. Other than the color it id good stuff. It will provide a lot of traction and protection for the decks.

Looks good but, I agree about the color. Not sure I could handle that.

I used a hopper spray gun from harbor freight $20. These spray guns are what you would normaly use for texture type ceilings, worked very good. I had seen several bad reviews on using the rollers.

It is deffinetly not the olive color that most of us are use to.

awesome. the application itself looks great.

stinks that the boat is a little more brown than green which gives you the huge contrast, and makes the "olive" look really like grass green.

my boat is about the same color but i plan to use tan to keep the temp down and hopefully match up better with the rest of the boat.

1754 is such a nice size. I often find myself wishing I had a 1754.

Dawson does AWESOME work. Had him make me a rear bench hatch w/liner and a frame with 3 hatches for my front bow deck that I could drop into my deck framing I made. Totally custom work, and it looks factory. Couldn't be happier with what we did.

Agree about Dawson! The fit and finish of his work is great. Can't wait for the snow to go away and the ice off the lakes so I can get it out.

That looks good. Dawson did my G3 1544 also and like yours it looks factory. We put carpet in mine but I like what you did it looks durable.

Wanted to give an update on the Tuff Coat deck paint. I've been out fishing a dozen times now and this stuff really gives you traction in a wet boat. Seems to be very durable as well.

Good to hear about the Tuff Coat. I'm about to put that all inside my boat. Did you only use the primer that tuff coat makes or did you use metal etching primer as well? Thanks- BTW your boat is killer!!

I used both types of tuff coat primer, one for painted metal and the other for bare metal. Thanks
