on board charger

Howdy, new to your forum and like it. My question is can some one explain on board chargers, how they work, benefits and such. Would really appreciate it.

they mount in your boat hook up to your batteries and charge them the plus is you get hme plug them in and your good to go
no hooking up the charger after each trip they are water proof so that is another plus
down size is the cost
