Recoil start repair on 56 johnson seahorse?

Hey guys i recently removed(yanked OUT!) the cord from my 1956 5.5 johnson seahorse and was looking for some info on repair and other general info...i am having a hard time finding any info...or even someone who could reapir this. Any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks
