Hey all! New to the board here. Great source of information so far! Just picked up a 1432 with trailer from a friend. He threw in a 6hp Chrysler motor, which I have figured out is a 1978 628HJ.
Here's the boat and motor.
I am looking for a starter assembly for this motor. I started the motor by wrapping the flywheel with the starting rope, but that's going to get old pretty quick! The spool on the old one is broken.
The part numbers are FA525239 or 817965A1, which can be seen as part number 17 on this diagram:
Anyone know where I might be able to track one of these down? Thanks for reading!
