trolling motor battery?

I decided that my 7.5 was going to be too much for my 10' so I traded it for this 40lb thrust minn kota, my question is, what is the best choice of battery for this motor?

I got the 7.5 for $100, it was pretty old and needed some work and it just wasn't something I wanted to work on if I wasn't going to get to use it right away :lol: but now I've got this little guy so I'll be back on the water in no time 8)

my buddy had the same t/m i used to borrow

i would take the optima redtop out of my truck at the ramp, run the t/m all day, then put the battery back in my truck and head to the house :mrgreen: . never let me down

thats how I tested this one, hooked it up to the pickup battery 8)
