trolling motor

my buddy accidently switched the positive and negative side of the trolling motor wanted to go in forward but was going in reverse. Is this bad for the motor? i would like to move the trolling motor to the front if i can

i know the boat orginally had it mounted to the front of the boat but couldnt figure out how they used it. perhaps they used it like that but still unclear if its safe for it

no problem at all,it will not harm the motor.
