On another site that I frequent, the guys listed items to be carried in a " boat emergency kit". I don't know that I have room for all of these items...but...surely I should be carrying some of them. What do you say? Rich
On the Water Repairs
A STAINLESS leatherman.
Boat multi tool (the one with gas cap wrench, transom plug adapter, flat heads and wedges for nuts)
Crescent wrench - well coated in corr-x
Wire Tester/light
spare wire (red and black)
Prop Wrench (the small portable one - stainless not plastic)
Pill container full of screws/nuts/bolts common on the boat
Transom plugs (I might not need 'em, but someone else might)
large zip ties (can be used as tourniquets in a pinch)
Pair of screwdrivers.
Fuses that obviously match what you have on your boat.
Couple of wire nuts (remember, emergency use ONLY)
Spare bulbs for lights
Fast Orange hand cleaner
Shop Rag
a spare filter...
I coat all my tools in Corrosion X then vacuum seal them in our food sealer thing.
I would also add a cheap set of jumper cables (sealed the same way)
a spare prop and tools for the job,
Elec Tape,
few hose clamps,
small tube silicone sealer,
Spare fuel filter
a compass
flashlight.
Spare fuses...
CVA34
Plastic ammo box:
flares,
hub kit,
Toilet paper,
cheap fuel/water separator,
skeeter spray.
water
piece of PVC pipe about 2-3 ft. long and I think 1.5-2 inches in diameter....you can use it as a "tiller"
look at this stuff https://www.rescuetape.com/ seems like a logical addition to a roll of duct tape
4 in one screwdriver
end wrenches std and metric
channel locks
vice grips
duct tape
black elect. tape
spark plug wrench
elect pliers
needle nose pliers
asst nuts, bolts, fuses, wire crimp ends
primer bulb
hose clamps
filter wrench
