i have a 14 foot mod v hull its a 1436 ive added a floor and front deck to it my question is what size motor is everyone running on there boat i have a 6 horse on it now and its just too small was looking at going up to a 9.9 or bigger thanks alot

I don't know you will be happy with a 9.9. Maybe, but I would think a 15 or 20 is going to be a better option. Especially if you are talking 4stroke.

I'm running a 25HP on a 1436 Jon.
I have 3/4" plywood flooring. A 12 gallon fuel tank under a small deck up front to help balance out the motor and battery in the back.

It will work but I think you want to be closer to the max hp if not a little over.
I would keep looking for a 15 to 25hp motor.

yea, I recommend waiting on a larger motor too.
If you go with the max rating (or close to)
you won't have to wonder about it later.
I have a 25 and it does the job, but now I think
a 35 w/electric start would have been a better choice.
