So you took it inside your house to take the box off? If I ordered a new outboard from my dealer, they had better install it for me or I'd be visiting another dealer.

If you want to make life easy just buy a fuse panel like mine from Blue Sea Systems. The first pic shows it and the second shows my tm breaker and wiring. I used 16ga for my accessories and 6ga for the tm, all tinned wire.

If I were spending $1100 I would want a welded, and galvanized trailer. The load rites are bolt together frames. Check to see if you have a Wesco dealer in your area.

Don't folllow the above advice unless you want fried wires and possibly a fire. 16 ga will be fine for your lights and bilge. A 3 amp fuse should be good for those, depending on the size of your bilge pump yo may need to go a little larger. For the 12v plugs, I would go nothing smaller than...

I would expect foam to be there.

My mercury has a lever just above the clamps that holds the engine in any position you want.

After every fishing trip I always pull the boat up onto the trailer then pull the fuel line and let it idle until it dies.
