Thanks Dave
Couldn't wait for the decals any longer, had to get the tinny in the water and try it out
All went good apart from I couldn't get fuel up from the second tank
It was full of some kind of growth and I cleaned it out before I fitted it but I guess I should have pulled it apart
Got a...

Primed and painted the bottom of the boat today
Painted with a 2 pack polyurethane paint
Minister for finances and wars picked the color purple
She says it's the color of a flower called the Morning Glory so I guess that will be the name of the boat
Came out quiet good, some decals down the sides...
Thanks Pweisbrod
I have installed the aluminum angle (2x2x1/4) for the seat mounts and dropped them into position for the photo's
I have attached the casting deck add ons to the gunnels using 2x1/4 flat bar inside the gunnels and stainless steel 3/8 boltts
Ive striped the gunnels of paint now...
I'm using 3mm or 1/8th checker plate on my floor and casting decks but thats because I'm over 220lb
The aluminum is actually lighter than the timber I pulled out
The problem with aluminum pop rivets is the little piece of metal that breaks of inside the rivet head will cause corrosion
Stainless steel rivets would probably be a better selection or solid aluminum peen rivets
Got the welder going properly and spent the last couple of days doing the ribs for the floor and setting up for the casting decks
Will have to give it a rest for the next couple of days,it's going to take me some time this project but I can't wait to get it finished
Picked up the bases and posts...
We eat them mainly but do use them for bait from time to time
The local grubberment put a bag limit of 30 per person a couple of years ago,at that time it was easy to catch a couple of hundred in an evening at the right time of the year
We all have our hates in life but there are some inconsiderate people out there that tend to get you going
