    First OB

Sounds like your carburetor isn't carbureting! Yep, clean that too, those carbs are real basic. A $20 motor will buy you a lot of frustration though I might add.....been there done that, and at the end I would have paid $100 not to have experienced it! Sorry....late reply

    1975 Smoker Craft 12' semi v-hull

Had something very similar, weight capacity is probably around 600 lbs, HP is probably 10. That's a good boat for the ICW!

Paint your bottom for $20 !!

My 1977 10 footer has been taking on a bit of water, so over the holiday I decided to paint the bottom to seal up all the rivets. First I applied JB Weld to some knicks, then two coats of paint, all for $20. Good ole Rustoleum Metal & Aluminum primer, and an oil based (for metal) enamel in...

    Trailer Kit at Northern Tool

I bought a $300 "trailer in a box" at Northern, fits a 10-14 foot boat up to 600 lbs. I have to say it went together very easy, directions were simple and direct. After a few trips out I gotta vouch for it! Works great for my little 10 footer. Christmas anyone? Here's a link...

    Version 2.0

I think you are going to want more than a 2HP, that is really going to just be an egg beater. I have a 10' jon with a 4HP and it pushes it good. For a 14 footer I would want a minimum of 4HP up to your HP limit of 9.9. Say you are out on the lake, far from the launch and a summer Tstorm blows...

    Stick Steer?

I had one years ago, they are a lot of fun to drive. It's like a motorized surfboard when you running from the front. You can do it all up front and never have to switch seats, drive, operate the trolling motor, and fish.

    What is this ?

Yes! I am counting on bulletproof! Gotta 10 ft jon & a 16 ft scanoe I think will be be a perfect fit. One of my lakes is 10 HP or less restriction, the other is just small. Might be my favorite engine to date....

Does white motor mean salt water?

I know the big Johnson's saltwater series are white, but did that apply to a 1994 4HP? I'm new to johnnyrudes! It's an all white motor 4HP deluxe, model J4RDHERE. Thanks!

    What is this ?

I am picking up my "new to me" Johnson 4 hp deluxe this weekend. My first Johnson! What is this control on the front beside the choke? Is it idle speed adjustment? I highlighted it in the photo.
