Yesterdays trip to Dale Hollow was nice. Weather was great, and fish were very cooerative. Best one for the year. Realeased a 18" Small Mouth and brought home 3 L/M to eat next week had 5 other bass that were too small.

Has anyone ever built a portable tent for a jon boat that can be used when your staying overnight on the water? I'm making one for my 14' jon and wanted more ideas.

Here's something I made yesterday to get ready to night fish. I can move this around in the front of the boat while fishing or set the spot light on the console.

Finally got my boat back so I decided to go to Dale Hollow to see how it ran and try to catch some small mouths. The first part was good but the fishing was terrible for me. Tried jigs, jerk baits, lizards, chatter bait but no strikes. I fished from 5' to 60' no luck. It was a beautiful day...

I went over to Dale Hollow this morning about 11:00 am, wasn't in a big hurry. Caught 2 Small Mouth bass (1st) 3# 18" long (2nd) 5# 2oz. 20.5" long= MPB Pics to follow when developed.

Went to the Hollow yesterday had 7 bass. 2 small mouth, 1 about 2.5# the other 15.75". 5 large mouth, 3 over 3#, 1 16" and 1 14". Nice day for me. Here are the pic that turned out.

Picked up a new trolling motor yesterday. A MinnKota 50# thrust 42" shaft to go on my 14' Ultra Jon. Already rotated the head to work as a bow mounted T/M and it will replace my M/G 34# 30" shaft. Should have no problem moving my little load. Pictures to follow when weather permits me to...

I finally had a friend of mine make me a T/M Brkt out of 12ga steel. My original one was made out of wood and since I had it fall off I decided to go ahead and draw a new one up and have it made. It great when a friend will do it for nothing.

I seam to be losing power on my 2000 Nissan 25HP as the day progresses. What should the compression be on this motor or do I have other problems?
