sorry didn't realize the pics started last to first!
Thanks to the great weekend weather was able to test it out on Lake Ontario. SHE FLOATS!!!!! =D> :D
Its pretty stable (no bass boat but hey). this rig will be used to fish 3 guys. we walked around the deck pretty comfortable considering the winds were a bit strong and a little chop on the water.

Overall satisfied with the way it handles. BTW first time out with it on the water. purchased it in the dead of the cold, tested it well before buying. (filled it with water and did a muffs test.)

Good lookin' stuff so far Flipte. Are you going to carpet the fore deck, fiberglass or something else? I love those fiberglass hulls like that, I wish we had more of them around here. What is that on the port side in the image at the loading dock. I hope that is where the for sale sign was taped and not a patch! If it is a patch we can make it pretty again.

Thanks, will be carpeting and making a rear casting deck as well. the sides were taped with the "for sale" sign. Ive been concentrated on building rather than cleaning :D

sorry its been a while since I've posted we waited for perfect weather to work outdoors. this weekend was the one, in Toronto we hit 24OC.
hope you enjoy the pics and please comment on anything i could have or should have done.

Did some changes to the supports. instead of having the 2x4 on top of the bench i used the same format as the front. A 2x4 along the side of the middle bench so the deck would sit flat on top. added legs for lower weight transfer and stabilty: made a HUGE difference on how the bot satin the water! was able to walk to all edges and feel extremely safe.

We decided to put the seat mount plates underneath the deck screwed in directly to the bench because we felt that the seats were too high. doing so lowered the chairs down 2".

thanks to another gentleman on this site got the livewell setup.

BTW this is a boat bought and fixed by 3 guys (incl me)

up next is carpeting battery box and wiring. creating a simple back casting deck.

Thanks for looking, will post more.

boat looks great! Thanks for the ideas, i'm going to try your 'leg' idea for braceing.... appears that that will give me the most stability.....

Thanks, you must know it well to recognize it! Do you fish it at all?
Went there to test the boat because there was no ice.

hey, excuse me for being ignorant but what are the advantages of putting the battery in a box?
Im thinking of creating a box enclosed with waterproof liner and carpet. is that ok or should i still be putting the battery in a box?

Do you guys see anything wrong with what i have started doing?

Thanks!

Got a little more work done this weekend. started building the back deck. the deck will be carpeted with a pull out bin under.
we decided to leave the deck adjustable so that we can slide the deck forward, and have good walking area without being interfered with by the trolling motor. plus it gives us the space to put the gastank in from the back and keep it vented!

Hello everyone,

Wanted to know when you tow your boat do you leave the cover on or off? what are the pros and cons of either way?

Thanks

Finished the battery box, almost :) decided to just make a pan for it in case of any leaks. all thats left is finishing the wiring and glueing the rear carpet down.

If you have a cover that is made for use while towing then I'd say it couldn't hurt anything. But if you buy one that is meant for stationary storage, then it will not hold up to the stress. Good looking build!

finally finished the boat.
