1956 Johnson 15hp

So i replaced plugs. and first pull something underneath the flywheel housing broke. It was a small plastic piece that catches on the flywheel. I made a new piece out of wood. How does it go back underneath it and what not. It has a wire attached like some kind of spring and the wire loops. If you have no idea what im talking about b/c i wasnt clear let me know. maybe later i can get some pics. Batteries in camera are charging.
