Hello I bought this boat and trailor for 300 bucks. Then I bought a 9.5evinrude and 55thrust motorquide bowmount trolling motor with 52inch shaft for 300bucks off a good friend and also gave him 20 bucks for a pretty nice fishfinder. I took all the benches and everything out boat filled with water and boat didnt leak a drop! Dry as a bone! Iroughed up and removed loose paint from interior of boat and coated all rivot seams with Rhino spray in bed liner. I ended up eventualy spraying the whole inside of boat with this. I found a scrap yard near house that had a room full of alum angle for the price of srap so We decided to frame the whole mod using the angle. Spent 52dollars on the angle, found 3/4 and 1/2 inch plywood on craigslist untreated for 15 and 12 a sheet and I needed 3 because wanted full cuts and right grain direction so really 2 would have been enough but I bought 3 so spent 42 on wood. So far I have spent 60 on carpet and glue.

Cost so far
boat 300
motors 300
fish finder 20
rhino liner free (friend)
alum angle 52
plywood 42
carpet and glue 60
interior paint 15 (rustoleuim camo beige alum marine paint spray cans)
total this far at 790 bucks!!!

I think thats pretty good.

Open your pictures on your computer with Microsoft paint program. Under the "image" tab, you will see a re-size selection. Click on pixels, and re-size to 800 x 600 (or 600 x 800 if your picture is rotated 90 degrees). It will then be small enough to post using the "choose file" and "add file" buttons on the post screen in these forums.

did you just rivet all of the side support alum. angle, through the side of the hull? What type of rivets did you use?

If you use rivets for that angle wont it leak?? Is there a special rivet to use?? I like this aluminum idea, Where did you buy that angle if I can ask, Nice looking so far. I wonder if any guys ever used those metal studs that they screw drywall to. Maybe they wont be strong enough
