I just stripped and repainted my grandfathers jon boat. Looks amazing for the year. I want to add a deck to the front and back and was considering removing the middle seat. Will this weaken the strength of the boat by doing this?

you still need to have some support to keep the sides from collapsing in. heres what i did in my boat. i still took out the middle seat, had side support, and created more walking space.
