I picked up this Tracker a couple years ago after being inspired by this forum. The boat was in need of TLC and a few updates but all the wood was in good shape and even carpet not to bad for a 25 year old boat. The motor is also a 86 Mercury Classic 50 45hp with tilt and trim. My goal was to clean and paint the hull and update the console add a forward battery compartment for trolling motor. The trailer was in sad shape although you cant see it in the pictures that well all the angle iron was flaking rust everywhere along with the normal bearings, hubs and wheels shot. I don't think the trailer was the one that came with the boat, It looked like it was set up for a V-hull or something. I took pictures and was planning on starting this as we go post but never got that far so will try to remember what the hell I did while I try to upload picture. Hopefully you will enjoy. Thanks for the Inspiration from all.0001.jpg0002.jpg0003.jpg0004.jpg0005.jpg0006.jpg0007.jpg0008.jpg0008a.jpg0008b.jpg0008c.jpg0009.JPG0010.JPG0011.JPG0012.JPG0013.JPG0014.JPG0015.JPG0016.JPG0017.JPG0018.JPG0018a.JPG0019.JPG0021.jpg0022.jpg

Boat looks spectacular. I just re did the same boat but a 1990. Plan to get a thread going soon. Congrats on your new old boat!

Thanks DCfish,
This is the first time I've posted anything on a build. It sure looks easy in the pics. No time delay for the hours spent, but this forum always gets my wheels spinning for improvements, looking forward to the 90 pics.
