I came into my newest boat restoration over this past winter. I have had a good time learning and teaching my son over the process of the build thus far. It is a 1990 Tracker Guide V14 with a stock 1989 Evinrude 20 HP long shaft. I have replaced all the plywood floor throughout the boat and coated it with a high end waterproofing paint before carpeting. I also built a small casting deck on front. I have been bargain shopping for this entire build, so I found a used Minn Kota power drive trolling motor to install on Craigslist for $50. I also found a local battery supply that sells large reconditioned AGM batteries for $60 a piece. I purchased two, as my trolling motor is 24v. If you know anything about batteries, you know that this is quite the deal! The only downside is the weight, and they weigh ALOT! (~160 lbs) so I have been determining the best location for best weight distribution. I also installed a switch panel with built-in fussed links. It's waterproof and has a charging port for powering cell phones and such. I then installed a through hull fitting and new builge pump.
