Hello all I’ve been reading a while and now decided to join. I picked up a 1989 tracker 17 in September. Well finally getting around to working on it. It has no title for either just a bill of sale picked it up already gutted in this condition for 400. Hopefully getting a title isn’t a pain already have the paper work ready to send in but waiting for the BMI to open. I don’t really have an overall goal for it. I want a front deck to fish off of and runs tiller on it with pods but sure after and details in between. May make side boxes for storage will be a fishing/hunting boat.

First off with the floor going to use the pink foam but trying to decide on thickness.

Found some cheaper aluminum stock that has to be sold as damaged. It’s 3003 .08” thick would that be thick enough? Just use some aluminum pop rivets?

hey, im doing the same thing as you. Gutted my tracker 17, converted it to a tiller jet. i used 1/8” for my floors and deck cause i had it laying around and stainless screwed it to the cross members. i know that stainless and aluminum react but it takes such a long time and i wanted to be able to remove the floor for if/when i puncture the hull. My project is up on the forum if you wanted to check it for ideas or give me ideas. thanks good luck
