Can a Battery Tender Plus be used to charge and maintain a Interstate Marine battery w/800 cranking amps battery? Its the one thats used to also maintain motorcycle batteries. It is a automatic trickle charger. The battery use is for a 30 thrust Minn Kota Enduro

yes it can but it will take a long long time to charge it back up. If you go once a week, then it will recharge the batt, but if you plan on going 2-3 days in a row for all day trips, it won't work very well as it doesn't have the amps to charge the batt back up overnight. These do a better job of maintaining the batts versus charging a batt that has been drawn down from use such as the TM. Wally world has decent 2amp chargers for $20-30, and could use both, but a 4amp or higher amp charger is recommended from what I've read. They make on board chargers/maintainers for about $100 if that's in the budget.
