I'm currently looking to replace my 2 trolling motor batteries and have been reading a lot of good things about the Cabela's AGM battery. Are they as good as they sound? Right now, the Group 27 battery is on sale for $159.00 (which doesn't sound too bad).
My other question is this battery is labeled as "Dual Purpose" - so does that mean it can be used for both a cranking and deep cycle situation? I plan on using them for my 24 volt trolling motor only and have heard that you shouldn't use a "Dual Purpose" type battery for trolling motors because they aren't as effective as a regular deep cycle. Does anyone have any experience with these batteries and if so - how well do they work for your trolling motor (only) application?
Thanks so much for your help!
